SOCIAL EVENTS 2025

Organized and fundraised by The Shuswap Lake RV Resort Social Committee of volunteer owner's.

MAY

JUNE

Canada Day Parade and BBQ June 28th 11:00am – The Annual parade kicks off at 11:00am. Please meet at the top gate starting at 10:45am. A parade map will be posted with both a golf cart and walking route. Following the parade, there will be a BBQ at the park serving hamburgers, hotdogs and cake. All owners, guests and renters are welcome to take part.

JULY

Movie in the Park July 1st – Dusk (around 8:30) – Come join us for a movie and popcorn in the park.
Bingo July 12th – Come try your luck with bingo in the park. There will be prizes to be won
Chili Cook-off July 19th - 2nd Annual! The taster participant fee entitles you to a sample of each entered chili and one ballot entry to vote for your favourite. The winner will be announced following the event and will have the honour of winning the coveted chili pepper trophy. Contact Nicole (lot 7) for more information or to enter your chili.
Live Music Open Mic Night July 26th 7:00pm – Have a musical talent? Do you play an instrument? Do you have a band that wants to play? Come perform and share your talent with us! Bring your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes to join in the fun.
Pizza Sale July 26th – We will be taking pre-orders for pizza that will be served at 6:30pm. Please reach out to Angie (lot 23) and Sarah (Lot 63) to purchase your pizza tickets.

AUGUST

Movie in the Park August 2nd – Dusk (around 8:30) – Come join us for a movie and popcorn in the park
Pancake breakfast August 3rd 9:00am to 11am – Pancakes, sausages, coffee or juice box, and strawberry and whip cream topping for a suggested donation of $5.00 per person. Hope to see everyone out!
Bingo August 9th - Come try your luck with bingo in the park. There will be prizes to be won.
Adult Fun Day August 16th – Remember the fun of sports day as a kid? This is your chance to relive those memories here at the park! Sign up your team to participate. Once all teams are registered, a schedule will be posted. We encourage spectators to cheer everyone on, so please grab your lawn chair and come on out.
Kids Fun Day August 23rd – Come cheer on your kids for their time to shine at sports day. Once teams are registered, a schedule will be posted. Again, we encourage spectators to cheer everyone on, so please bring your lawn chairs.
Social and Open Mic August 31st 12:00pm to 2:00pm – Come enjoy a hamburger or a hotdog while enjoying some entertainment and friends. Do you have a special talent such as singing, playing an instrument or surprise us! If so, come on out and perform for the resort.

SEPTEMBER

Halloween Crawl September 27th 7:00pm – Dress in a costume, decorate your lot, hand out treats and wander around to participate in the fun! Everyone including guests and renters are welcome to join in. Chat with friends you know and meet new friends that you haven’t known yet. This is a well loved event by all and a great way to finish off the season!

OCTOBER

Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner October 11th 4:00pm –Come join to celebrate all the things that we are thankful for including great family and friends at this great resort! Please join the ‘Thanksgiving at the Lake’ Facebook event on the Owners’ page if you are interested in joining. There we can communicate details and know what everyone is bringing to contribute to the dinner.
Halloween Social October 31st 5:00pm – Come join in the Halloween social at the front of the resort. Please bring a treat to hand out to the local kids, costume is optional

Donations are always welcome at any Rec Committee event.

All events and improvements to the resort are provided and purchased by your generous bottle and cash donations.
